Tomorrow is the fourth of July and of course, I am grilling up some burgers. I am doing it tonight instead of tomorrow because we have been invited over to our pastors place for dinner tomorrow for dinner and fireworks. We can watch Garrett's fireworks from the parking lot of the church. When we first moved to Garrett, they had the fireworks in a different location so we could watch them from our pool. Especially on some of those hot July nights, that was the best place in town to watch them. We were definitely living in high cotton on those nights. July Fourth also seams right in same towns with their fireworks, flag lined streets and small town fairs. With all the crap that is going on in this world, it still seams right on July Fourth in small towns.
Let us not forget the men and women that have fought past and present so we can have our picnics and our normal lives. Let us also not forget their families who quietly wait for husbands, wives, parents and children to come home. They are our unsung heroes. Thanks to the families of our military who pay the price of freedom.
