It has been a fun day or two of weather here in Indiana. We have been getting freezing rain. I would rather shovel the snow than travel on the slick ice of freezing rain. I was rather glad that it did not take any power out. We are set up to deal with it but it is still rather inconvenient The power crews around here are pretty kick butt for getting things done. That's a crappy job they do well. They earn every cent they get.
Some schools are on bus delays and others are just starting to call in that they are closed. The big problem is getting the secondary roads clear enough for the buses to safely go on. The reports say that the main roads are pretty much clear. In other words, pretty much normal for the average closing. If it is really bad, then all the roads are snafu'ed.
I have to feel sorry for Mike Schultz as WAWK. He is trying to deal with running the station, doing the school closings and taking the calls for the school closings all by himself. He is waiting for others to get in this morning. I have hear him apologize twice for dead air time because he had to take the call to get more updates.
