Snopes
In this age of the internet, it is easy to find information. the only thing that is easier is finding misinformation. If you want help sorting out the fact from fiction, check out snopes here. Please do everyone on your mailing list a favor and check out the fact on snopes before you forward it. One of those people might be me and I would appreciate it.

Geo Games
I have been out enjoying geo games. On Good Friday, I did a waymark of the mausoleum pictured above. (Link)I always though mausoleums were neat and now I get to share where I find them.
I was also able to place my first cache. It is an earthcache and can be found here. It has been found which really geeked me out. Sometimes I wish waymarking was more popular so people would find those more but I think that will come. I think it is funny that ther ewere quite a few earthcaches that were barely found when it was on waymarking but as soon as they went back to geocaching, it took off. Waymarking isn't perfect but it does have some advantages over caching and vice versa. Time to get off my soapbox.

Sock Puppet
April 15, 1865
Abraham Lincoln died on this date in 1865. Thanks to the IRS, there is still weeping and mourning on the anniversary of his death. Wikipedia has an article on how tax day came around and can be seen here.

BoardWalk Waymark
Kim and I went hiking last weekend at Pokagon State Park. It was the most hiking we have done since Kim broke her leg. I also did a waymark that you can find here. We were able to see the turtle pictured above and a good size bass. It was also fabulous weather to be out.

I finally joined facebook. I can see some good use come out of it but there is a lot of fluff to it too. There is a lot of stuff I could waste time on it. Hopefully I can do the adjustments so I can get the use I want out of it while not getting bogged down in the noise. Another website to keep track of.

Diet
Happily I can say I am still on my diet and that I am still losing weight. Better yet is that I have dropped a pant size. I think overall that I am feeling better for the weight loss. I am hoping that I can continue.
Caching has changed
My wife and I have been in geocaching since March of 2003 which puts us in for just over 6 years. Does not mean much except we have been in for a while. It is kinda weird to see how both geocaching and us have both changed over the years. We have gone through phases of being more and less active. We have done different ratios of benchmark hunting and waymarking. We have seen earthcaches becoming the latest fad and then fade a bit. Even the jeep travel bug promos have come and gone. Life changes and so deos everything with it. I am just glad we have found new ways of making it fun and interesting. I don't I am ready to hang the gps up yet.
