Dark Shadows Festival
I loved the old gothic horror soap opera of Dark Shadows. It aired from 19676 to 1969 but I caught it in reruns on the Scfi channel. I am no where close to being the only fan. There is a festival to celebrate all things Dark shadows. There website is here. Enjoy!

I enjoying geocaching and I have a few wooden tokens from my fellow cachers. Just thought it was a back door way of finding out about of of the companies who make them. Enjoy the link.

Huntertown, Indiana
I have been out waymarking. This time it focused on Huntertown, Indiana. The three I did where all at the same spot. It was at the town hall where there was a historical sign. While doing research for the waymark, I found out there was a wikipedia page for Huntertown but then again , how many things can escape wikipedia anymore. I should not be surprised when i am willing to put things on waymarking.com.

Michigan Photos
I am finally getting back to some pictures from ny trip to Michigan. The top one is a memorial at the Frankfurt legion. The bottom two are pictures from the casino in Manistee. that casino has an excellent but expensive buffet. It was worth the money to go but I was still glad someone else was picking up the bill that night.
PS I hate it when I push publish before I put a delay on these posts or get them all cleaned up. Really look s crappy and I do like pacing them out when I get a couple done in a day. It is either feast or famine for getting these done.
Halloween Displays
I have been walking around the neighbourhood and enjoying seeing the Halloween displays. Despite all the angst people have about the ghoulies and ghosties and wee small beasties, it is a fun holiday. I use to enjoy the holiday for getting candy and now I enjoy handing it out. I hope you enjoy the pictures I took while I was out.

Fall
It is definitely getting to be fall around her. I have given up the shorts and sandals for boots and pants and the wearing of a jacket. It amazed me that i actually turned on the heat yesterday morning just to take the edge of the chill in the house. It has since been off. I am also going to be taking my walks later in the day since the mornings are getting too col and I want to take advantage of the warmer weather later in the day. It is raining today and looks like it is going to rain all day so I think getting out is off. That is a pisser. I realize that there are gong to be days where the weather is going to keep me in but that does not stop me from wanting daily outside time. I am going to try an experiment this winter of trying my best to get out everyday or as close to everyday as I can and see if that helps with my winter doldrums. We shall see how that works out.

Tinker's Folly Website
I like tinkering and building but I like looking at other people's projects even more so. There are a lot of talented people out there that have more talent and drive than I do to actually get out and do. One site that shows one person's tinkering is here. Enjoy!
